Winterberg Home for 2026 World Adventure Golf Masters
Winterberg, Germany - The World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF) along with Deutscher Minigolfsport Verband (DMV - the German Minigolf Sport Federation) are happy to announce that the 2026 World Adventure Golf Masters (WAGM) will be held at Adventure Golf Winterberg.
WAGM is an annual tournament that showcases the best adventure golfers in the world in both individual and national team categories over three days of competition. In 2019 the mixed pairs division was added, the final of which has provided drama and excitement each year. The 2024 WAGM was held in Brno, Czechia and the 2025 WAGM is slated for Askim, Sweden.
Winterberg is an 18-hole course that was built by supplier CityGolf and was the home to the 2023 German Adventure Golf Masters. That tournament was won by Martin Lundell who scored a 167 over the five round event. It’s expected that the scores will be even lower with additional practice and national team focus on the course.
“We are excited to have WAGM for the first time in Germany,” said WMF Media Chair Pat Sheridan. “The continued growth of adventure golf around the world is opening up new places to hold WAGM and it is great to see additional communities supporting this major international tournament.”
"For the first time Germany will hold a World Adventure Golf Masters, the World Championships for Adventure Golf! We are very excited to host this events and will give our best to create unforgettable moments for the athletes," said Achim Braungart Zink, Sport Manager for DMV
